Good Evening,
Today was the Home Going Service for Eric Thornton. It was a beautiful service, and my heart and
Prayers go out to the Thornton family. Eric was my Brother Jay’s Best Friend. He took the loss of his friend, pretty hard. He truly loved Eric. Even living apart from each other for over 30 years they still remained best bubbies and talk every month. Jay wrote a poem for his friend Eric and I would like to share it with you.
I Miss My Friend
When we were kids, we made a pact.
If one would leave, we’d always come back.
We’d stay in touch, remember old times, I was your
BEST FRIEND and YOU WERE MINE.
Remember when we were young
Some of the things we DID FOR FUN.
The girls, the games, the things we’d done.
I can’t forget the times back then, what it meant…
I MISS MY FRIEND!
-Jay Winston
In life we do not always cherish our relationship with others, but I can say I am so proud of my brother Jay. He is not just a WONDER FRIEND, HE IS THE BEST FATHER, SON AND BROTHER. He is ALWAYS there for everyone, especially his family and friends. He means so much to me and I feel so blessed to have a brother like Jay. I kwon that he is sad over the loss of his best friend Eric, and I would like him to know what a blessing he is to everyone who he shares his love and time with. Stay Strong MY BROTHER.. GOD will see us through our tough times in life. Love You So Much and So Proud of the Friend You Have Been to Eric and that All Those You Have Helped and Continue To Help.
Psalms 23:4 - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
